A small team with a straightforward goal: repair what can be repaired, explain what we find, and treat every customer honestly.
Fair Repair was started on a simple premise: people deserve straightforward answers about their devices, not upsells and vague explanations.
We've seen too many people buy new computers because a technician didn't take the time to find the actual problem, or because they were given a repair estimate that made no sense relative to the device's value. Our job is to give you the information you need to make a good decision — whether that leads to a repair with us or not.
We're based in Mississauga, Ontario, and we serve individuals and small businesses in the area. We're a small team, and we'd like to stay that way — it helps us stay careful and consistent.
These aren't slogans. They're the practical principles that shape how we handle every device and every conversation.
We tell you what we find — even when the news isn't good, or when the answer is "we're not sure yet."
Pricing, timelines, and limitations are communicated upfront. No surprises on the invoice.
We believe in extending the life of devices rather than contributing to unnecessary waste — when repair is practical.
Your files and personal information stay private. We access only what's necessary to do the job.
We skip the jargon. If we need to use a technical term, we explain it in plain language.
Daniel Osei began operating independently, taking on diagnostics and repairs out of a small workshop space on Dundas Street West. The focus from day one was on honest, documented diagnostics.
Demand grew enough to justify a proper workshop setup at the current location. Lena joined the team, bringing hardware specialization that expanded the range of repairs we could take on.
Raj joined to handle the growing volume of software-related work, and we formalized our data recovery service. We also began serving a small number of local small businesses on a regular basis.
As our intake volume increased, Amara joined to improve communication and scheduling. We also invested in upgrading our diagnostic tooling and parts sourcing relationships.
We're in no rush to scale beyond what lets us stay hands-on and attentive. Growth matters less to us than maintaining the quality and honesty that define how we work.
